After looking back through some of my recent outfit pictures a trend seemed to be apparent, all were either black, white or khaki combinations is some form or other so I decided it was high time I mixed it up a bit with a punch of colour and I do believe this dress is just the ticket. I haven't been a Primark shopper for quite some time now, either because I haven't seen anything I liked or simply because the fabric felt awful. Now I know it's Primark and what else do I expect but occasionally you do find some stand out pieces and for me this was one.
I bought a very similar version of this dress last year from Topshop but the fit was awful so I was pleasantly surprised when I popped on this beauty and it fit perfectly, waist, bust and all. Although a tad summery especially for today's gloomy weather it's the perfect pick me up dress and works just as well in summer as it does now cosied up with a pair of thick tights and a chunky knit.
I'm a huge lover of a ballerina shoe, although from time to time I can favour a boot or even occasionally a trainer these days, a ballerina is always my favourite shoe at heart. I adore the dainty studs all over the velvet pointed style, the perfect accompaniment with a cute floaty dress like this one. I can definitely see these being a wardrobe favourite of mine over the next few months!
