First of all I must start by saying, I absolutely LOVE the name of this lipstick. Fun, punchy and slightly outrageous are just a few words I would use to sum up the superb latest addition to the MAC lipstick family. One of five shades in the Strength collection, Party Parrot is an almost fluorescent red pink, perfectly formulated in a matte finish. "Flex your femininity with a colour collection that's fearless.."

Although my lipstick collection is suffering from a MAC overdose, especially as of late, I have never been all to keen to purchase from one of the limited edition collections. That was until, at last week's Beauty Crush event I spotted a member of staff wearing this popping shade and promptly asked where and when can I get my hands on it. When told it wasn't available until Thursday's launch day I could have quite easily stomped my feet like a child declaring "but I want it now!" The website is now sold out of this shade however it is still available in some stores, of course the unavailability online made me want it even more and eventually gave in at 1.30pm yesterday.

With this stunning colour I hugely recommend letting your lips take centre stage, keeping the rest of your face simple. Just a slick of mascara and bold brows, finished with perfectly highlighted cheekbones, nose and cupids bow. It's funny how a strong, bold lip instantly makes you feel somewhat stronger, empowered. So come on today, I'm ready for ya!
