Last night I attended a fantastic event housed within one of the most luxurious shopping destinations, Harvey Nichols. As well as a large offering of designer women's and menswear is a large beauty hall boasting some amazing brands such as Chanel, Nars, Laura Mercier and Shu Uemura to mention a few. Tickets to the event cost only £10 which was redeemable on any purchases made on the evening, there was champagne flowing and an incredible buzz amongst beauty addicts alike. I spotted a few new friendly faces scattered around the various counters including Nicola swooning over the Laura Mercer products, also Joanna and Kelly chatting over the MAC lipsticks all of whom I met at the Leeds Blogger event.
Regarding my purchases I was incredibly restrained and only indulged in a new MAC lipstick (review to come soon.) There was plenty going on with mini makeovers, hair and make up tutorials and holiday giveaways. The staff were incredibly helpful and quickly on hand if you wished to try out a product or ask a little about the brand, fantastic for any newbies to high end as it can sometimes be intimidating approaching these kinds of counters. A goody bag was a welcome parting gift which included some amazing samples and an array of new fragrances to try. I left the event smelling of an concoction of different perfumes I had sampled and a merry mood as a result of the delicious champagne that was served.
