The eagerly anticipated Rimmel Apocalips has finally landed! I had seen these little tubes popping up over instagram for the past couple of weeks and needless to say I was intrigued as to what was causing quite a stir in the beauty world. Counting down the days until they finally hit us mere mortals shelves I luckily managed to pick one up for myself on launch day yesterday, so many stores seem to have sold out in no time at all so it was appropriate that I was in a sleepy coastal town where no one gives a monkeys about beauty launches.
The Apocalips is an luxurious mixture of a lip gloss and lipstick and therefore named a lip lacquer, a dream product for those who may be scared of trying lipsticks but doesn't love the stickiness of a lip gloss. The silky, highly pigmented colour applies with ease using a foam applicator that holds just the right amount of product without having to re dip into the tube. The longevity is pretty good for a drug store product and especially for the reasonable price tag.
I restrained myself to only buy one of these but I must admit I'm sure Galaxy and Stella will be joining my collection too. Whats your favourite Apocalips shade?
